【简评】就在我辛辛苦苦地拼接了《豆腐文摘特辑:Raman Spectroscopy of SWNTs》而“元气大伤”之后的不到一个星期,Dresselhaus老人家夫妇和Jorio博士三人便在JPCC上登出了这篇简明扼要的CNT Raman十年综述,作为纪念Richard E. Smalley特刊的一部分。
前面有同学抱怨我的文摘里收录的文章部头太大,OK - Dresselhaus他们听见了不是:这篇正文只有六页出头的文章用浅显的科普式语言 - 向非物理类的读者们 - 如我的“纪事”般(不忘往自己脸上贴金,呵呵)生动、简明、却深刻地讲述了CNT Raman的历史、现状和发展方向。
里面居然也提到了Smalley关于laser ablation SWNT里(10,10)管子为主要成分的错误(见我的《碳纳米管化学纪事 (三) 》)。我对这段历史了解其实还是不够深刻:原来Raman的RBM在1997年的首次报导正是击落Smalley的“金属管卫星”的那一炮。引文见下:
"It was Smalley’s hope that there would be one dominant (n,m) species in the nanotube samples grown by laser ablation andhe expected the (10, 10) tubes to be the dominant species. Thefirst Raman paper in 19971 showed this not to be the case. Thusthe characterization of SWNT samples for their content of each(n, m) tube type was identified as an important goal and controlof (n, m) in the growth process became a dominant goal ofsynthesis strategies."
闲话不多说。无论如何,非物理类的CNT兄弟姐妹们,我们有福了:It has everything you need to know (and be able to understand more than 60%!) about Raman spectroscopy on carbon nanotubes!!
